Robert E. Vass III
Robert E. Vass, III is the principal and owner of Main Street Building Group and is a graduate of Mary Washington University. He has spent his entire career in the residential construction industry and has participated in building neighborhood developments as well as one-of-a-kind custom homes.
Prior to starting MSBG, he led the team at Sterling Construction Management as president for eight years. During this time, he oversaw the construction of over two dozen Howard’s creek cottages and nearly forty other projects at the Greenbrier Sporting Club.
Formerly of Resort Home Services, Laura joined REVIII, LLC in 2011 to provide support in managing the maintenance and renovation divisions. Since then, her role with Main Street Building Group has developed into a client services position. Laura works with clients throughout the homebuilding process, from conceptual to design to completion, focusing on maintaining superior client communication.
She works with the project manager to assess client expectations and ensures that the MSBG team is meeting and exceeding those expectations. Her knowledge of The Greenbrier and the Greenbrier Sporting Club as well as her strong relationships with both owners and the subcontractors make her an invaluable part of the MSBG team.
A recent graduate of Concord University with a B.S. in Business Administration, Courtney joined the team in 2017 while in her final semester as an intern. Since her graduation, she moved into assisting with the day-to-day functions of the company and now works with clients throughout the homebuilding process, from conceptual to design to completion, focusing on maintaining superior client communication. She works with the project manager to assess client expectations and ensures that the MSBG team is meeting and exceeding those expectations.
Karen joined the team in 2013 bringing a strong background in business administration and accounting. She manages the day-to-day accounting functions and provides administrative support to the team. Karen is a native of West Virginia and has an M.B.A. from West Virginia University and a B.S. from Bluefield State College, both in Business Administration. Prior to joining Main Street Building Group, she worked as the Executive Assistant to The Greenbrier’s CFO and has over twenty years of administrative professional experience.
Buck has a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Education from Appalachian State University. He obtained eight years of experience in design and construction in Washington D.C. and fourteen-plus years of experience with architectural woodwork before joining the SCM team in June 2003. Buck continues his efforts with MSBG and works with project managers and client services to set up projects. This includes working through the design process, monitoring the changes on a day-to-day level, confirming and documenting the process and keeping the still unresolved issues in focus.
Buck develops project schedules based on client, architect, and designer input as well as meeting notes, drawings and specifications. He confirms that specifications and counts are correct and that the elements function and interface properly with the rest of the components of the job. He then works with product vendors to ensure accuracy and quality control.
Having been the Director of Client Services with Sterling Construction Management for six years and a consultant continuing in this capacity with REVIII, LLC, and MSBG, she currently provides consulting services, focusing primarily on the marketing efforts, for Main Street Building Group. Prior to working in construction management, Mimi spent eight years in various management positions and specialized in communications at The Greenbrier.
